Max entered formula 1 as the youngest ever, it didn’t help that his dad was so hyper focused on his career in the beginning that he pushed Max to great limits as a child. Like he once left Max at a gas station in a foreign country when Max didn’t deliver or he let Max drive in the rain while his fingers froze even when other kids went inside. Max hasn’t had an easy childhood with the constant pressure and unethical ways from his dad. Max has always had a sense to prove himself, always very serious (at times a little playful) and when he became teammates with Daniel it honestly felt like Daniel taught him that’s it’s okay to let loose every now and then and to have fun. You see these two often cracking jokes and it’s just beautiful to see. Daniel really brought out the playful side of Max. Daniel and Max to this day are still very close and good friends even when they are on different teams.

2022-11-04 10:19:33 +0000 UTCyou are so right about how Daniel brings a different side to Max, especially when Max was younger these days Max is quite talkative and playful even without Daniel as his teammate but i feel like him having been around Daniel a lot did probably change the way he approaches things like pr events and whatnot this duo was my favourite of all the teams i think, they just work really well together i believe to this day Daniel said somewhere that he is probably the closest to Max out of all the drivers so im glad that they are still friends and that being teammates didnt end up ruining their friendship, cause that has happened in the past with some drivers
