MAY NEWSLETTER FROM KRISTIAN

Hello everyone. So this is the first newsletter that we are doing that is exclusive for patrons. I’m excited to release this to you guys because it kind of gives updates to everything that we’re working on things that are working for us and maybe some things that aren’t. There are a lot of changes and there’s just a lot of progression as we approach the summer movie season.

First of all, I have to thank everybody who is here, for your continued support, the channel is able to function the way that it has been since I left Skybound in September. So you’re probably always going to get a big thank you for me on that each and every month so please get used to it. One of the other things I want to thank everybody for is the channel itself. Last month we had hit a record high 1.8 million views for the entire month of April. Well, I am excited to say that we are already in May, with almost 2 weeks to go, we have hit 2.6 million views already. The channel is growing, we are welcoming new people each and every day and we are really creating a community here. Our interviews have been doing pretty well and more people have been seeing them, our shorts have started to take off, and within a year and a half, just a little over, I am very pleased with the progression of this channel.

We have also started doing live streams a few months ago. We didn’t know what to do with the old Schmoes Know, Schmoedown channel. It’s gone through so many different iterations. Honestly, I don’t know how realistic it is to bring that channel back to prominence so I figured why try? Instead, I made a little local bar out of it. And what I mean by that is it’s a live stream channel now. I have taken the approach of happy Harry Hard On from Pump Up the Volume. I go live whenever I want on that channel. And if people happen to be online at that time and see the stream, they come and hang out. We have fun, we goof around and it is really meant to have a connection, one on one, Q&A and it’s been fantastic. It’s been a lot of fun and there’s no pressure on it really.

People have been asking about Brett and Kate. Kate’s schedule has been a little tough at the moment. It’s been hard to get her in the studio, but we’re trying to do something that I think you will all be excited about. And honestly, you guys are getting this first. Roxy, Brett and Kate will have their own show live on the Kristian Harloff and Friends channel. We will continue with that live stream little bar atmosphere. We’re going to focus it on television for the topics with questions and everything else that makes the livestream channel fun.

As far as reviews, episodes of the Big Thing, nothings really changing. We have found our rhythm and our vibe. Ideally, I would love to post at 9 AM every day so you guys know when big thing is dropping. However, take the other day as an example. Mission impossible dropped the trailer early in the morning. I put that up first. And then I let it breathe for a little bit and then dropped big thing later on in the day. I figure as long as I get the show out for you guys before 5 PM PST. It gives you the opportunity to catch up with the news, and have a podcast to listen to. It seems, that you guys have been happy with his choice so far. But again, that’s what I love about this platform here.

Please comment on this post and let me know your thoughts on everything we are doing. Also, you might have noticed on this Wednesday’s big thing that we did something a little different. It will be a Star Wars-based show and will probably talk Star Wars for anywhere between 30, 40 minutes. Steph and Mike will be the commentators on the Wednesday episode but, I figured that while we are waiting for Ahsoka and Skeleton Crew, why not listen to Mike and Steph‘s opinions on other things besides, just Star Wars? We will hit a galaxy far far away in the beginning, and then will close out with some of the top movie news stories of the day. Because, if there is a big comic book, movie story, who doesn’t want to hear Mike’s opinion on it? Steph is catching up on a lot of new movies and getting a lot of new opinions on things so I think that this really makes sense. And again, it seems like you guys are enjoying this choice, but I want to hear your thoughts.

But as I’ve said many times over, this is easily, the happiest I’ve ever been doing this stuff. I get to make the choices, I get to maneuver where I want to maneuver I get to hire who I want to hire, and I get to laugh with who I want to laugh with. So I wanted to thank you wall from the bottom of my heart for sharing this with me. I appreciate you more than you can know. This is the first newsletter.
