An example of something that *didn't* go on too long is The IT Crowd, and now I'm dying to know if Ed has seen episode 2 of season 3, entitled "Are We Not Men?" on the exact theme of this comic, how to talk sportsball to fit in.

and the Simpsons. i agree. i don't know anyone who watches that now. i stopped at Season 12

STAR BORES.... just let it die........

The Simpsons long since ran through all the storylines and now are just repeating them.

BTW I'm totally with Norm on this one. I was a big NY Pets fan when they won the World Series in 1986 & was about to get a "branded" credit card with their logo until I realized, why should I give this *BUSINESS* free advertising?

Star Wars fer sher. If only Lucas had gotten the rights to do Flash Gordon as he originally wanted, we would've been spared sequels, prequels, spin-offs and "The Star Wars Holiday Special."

A-Team, Three's Company, I love Lucy. You only ever needed to watch a single show as they all only had one plot. Shoot, you could set your watch by where in the story an A-Team episode was.

I assume we're talking about franchises that didn't start bad. I'll say they shouldn't have made a sequel to "The Blues Brothers."

Star Wars...
