Hahaha…. My friend and old roommate was on Naked and Afraid. He got a lot of shit because he actually got burned really badly like his first day on the island. He was a USMC Force Recon Scout Sniper. So a lot of the Recon community kinda gave him shit for not representing well. But I tell everyone any time it comes up. Jon is NOT a whiner nor a complainer. Something needs to get done? He does it. He’s a great dude. And I tell people, if he was saying what he said and behaving like that? He was seriously in severe pain and it was actually BAD. He doesn’t make excuses and is in no way allergic to hard work. So trust me when I say, it was worse than he was even letting on. But yeah, funny you brought that show up.

2023-03-28 02:03:36 +0000 UTCI definitely agree about the sport vs just getting hurt thing. I do roller derby, and I'm covered in bruises right now. But I know it's at least exciting to watch a derby bout. The score changes, teammates work together, people do exciting things. I don't like watching MMA, and I have no interest whatsoever in watching the slap stupidity. I've had a concussion and I don't want to watch other people get concussions.

2023-03-24 21:46:41 +0000 UTCI don't watch those survivalist shows either, as a general rule. There is one called Alone, though, which is kind of interesting. They drop these survivalist tapes all by themselves, miles apart, on vancouver Island in late fall. They have no contact with anybody - they have to film themselves. And build shelter, and find food and deal with BEARS and WOLVES! The best is the guy who came to his senses real quick and called to be extracted before the first sunset.
