My Cage "Classic" 12/17/2007

OUR SLYLOCK FOX TEAM-UP! This was some of the most fun I've had creatively. We had to e-mail back and forth with Bob Weber, who is a great guy. And it was all due to the "Comics Curmudgeon" website: www.joshreads.com.

Originally run Dec 17th 2007.

My Cage "Classic" 12/17/2007

I'm realizing now that I discovered My Cage from CC as well--sadly, only from the goodbye strips, but it made me a longtime fan. I finally got tired of CC, though I didn't want to. I still don't know whether it's that the blog got into a bit of a rut or if it was just that I just needed something more fresh. Part of it was that I liked the one-off mockery but wasn't into a lot of the soap opera strips and found their cast of characters and plot too difficult to follow. Also Foobs ended and it was the one I had a childhood attachment to and a strong love/hate going with. I remember that Josh and his wife moved to LA so he could do more entertainment-business stuff. I hope that's going well for him! Did anyone read "The Enthusiast"? I buy a lot of books but my usual rule is that it's a book a want to reread or it's used (usually both). I usually regret it when I buy a new book I haven't read, even by an author I have really liked in the past, and I couldn't preview it in a bookstore or via the library, so I never ended up pulling the trigger on the purchase. I'd be interested in hearing other reader's takes on it.

Comics Curmudgeon is still Comics Curmudgeon, some of the strips stay the same, some change. Posts are generally pretty brief, but there's one daily.I usually skim a screen or two of comments, sometimes there's a chuckle in there

The presence of this episode on CC is how I first became interested in MC! I stopped reading CC in 2008 in order to cultivate a more positive attitude, but that didn't stop me from checking out, as you once put it, "cute animals who hate their lives." You know, I hadn't realized before, but Max is channeling Max Bialystock.

Stephen Gilberg

I used to go to the Comics Curmudgeon all the time and read the comments. What's it like over there now, does anyone still follow it?
