With efficient cans like the M1060 or cheaper cans the power is a bit overwhelming and I would run it with the resistors back in line or a smaller amp.

Yes. The amp is far too powerful to run with the jumpers on high efficiency cans. So you end up hearing the noise floor if you lower your source and get the amp to a useable level.

2017-06-06 23:07:00 +0000 UTCFor efficient cans the X7s is perfect. But hard to drive cans just sound proper on this. Even with the power of the X7s this just sounds bigger. If I could only have one the X7s is more proper. You can't run efficient cans with the jumpers out.
