Arc III - Chapter 1 (Chapter 66)

This Arc will be far less combative and will involve a lot more intrigue than in the previous arcs which will present its own challenges writing wise.
It will also be truer to the world building elements in the literal sense as Illos and the universe at large is slowly revealed to you guys and there will be more science fiction involved in this Arc along with philosophical questions and moral decisions that may or may not be right (or wrong).

There is a reason why most that left were hedge witches/wizards and poor purebloods at the fringes of society. They were effectively already cut off from main society and as such presented an opportunity to bind them to him. These magicals are not exactly the cream of the crop magically speaking but loyalty matters the most and these people had been easy to win over

2022-08-13 20:01:13 +0000 UTCI might have alluded to it but I think that will be a short spin off at best. It opens a can of worms that I'm not sure I want to make canon to the story. Dimensional travel opens up a lot of possibilities but it also can shift the story away from where it is meant to go. I could do an Omake esque spin off if people really want to see it though.

Illos needs solid foundations first, it is likely why the main population are close allies, muggleborns and the like, and some purebloods who have sworn an oath to Atticus, as well as a bunch of orphans. You can see that nobody else is really there yet. Even the older people are already amazed at the young kids being so different to what they know, if you introduce more of an older population like Veela you lose the power to shape the society into what you want. I'm guessing Veela and the rest going to be allowed in soon, in a smaller number year by year.
