Today, in Paris, France, terrorists have killed humorists !
I can't imagine a world where some words and drawings are a good reason to be killed! T_T
I completely agree with you ;) The power of laughter is after all our greatest weapon. :D

of course you are right !
I think terrorists want us to fear them. this is why they killed the humorists who where mocking them.
I think a good reaction would be to keep mocking them.
Our silence would be their real victory and a second death for the victims.

Very true, but we also have to be careful what sort of action we take next. If we let fear rule our judgment we may end up becoming the very monsters we wish to stop, or worse, become exactly the kind of people the monsters wish us to be. For example what if I can promise you a world where you're perfectly safe, there's no chance you will ever die of anything but a natural death, but there's a catch. You must do everything I say, you must sleep when I say sleep, eat when I say eat, work where I say you should work for how long I say you should work, marry who I say you should marry and every single aspect about your life is mapped out based on your genetics, and other calculations and you have no say in the matter. Would that you agree to that? Would you want your children to grow up like that? How far are we willing to go to be safe, how much are we willing to give up?
I am scared of what these terrorist are willing to do to get their way, but I'm more scared of what WE'RE willing to do to be safe from them.

I believe there will always be people who try to use violence and fear to make the world more to their liking but we can't ever sink to their level nor return their violence in kind. To quote one of the wisest things I have ever heard, "Violence isn't strength, Compassion isn't weakness, and Revenge is pointless."
