I shared this with my Polish former postdoc/PhD student, and she told me she lost it as soon as she realised you were going to eat the tongue in gelatine without realising what it was. I think she enjoyed her first encounter with you. She has brought us back quite a few odd Polish things, including the Soplica you tried (the quince one you tried is delicious, and the hazelnut one, too) - and in return I've been able to convince her that the vodka from our local distillery here in Scotland is actually good. ;)
