Added 2024-02-25 18:46:45 +0000 UTCyo yo avatar is here and we're watching it, babes! we didn't start recording until 20 minutes passed the first episode unfortunately because this was kind of a thought-in-the-moment thing, but we got through episode 3 and overall I think it's pretty good! of course, some moments make me giggle and sigh but so far I like what the team is doing with the show and the story. I'd love to know what y'all think about the whole thing though and I'll schedule a time when we can host another watch party on Discord. shoutout Leah for making this all possible too!

2024-02-26 16:58:10 +0000 UTCI enjoyed it! It's very interesting how much the actors act like their cartoon counterparts instead of making their tone and mannerisms solely human. It took a little bit to get used to, but overall, it was fun to watch. The worst part was the green screen and some of the CGI, plus some of the makeup/hair designs. But the small references to the original (like the "lettuce leaf" quote with Bumi) show that the creators really care about the original series. My main character issues are with Azula and Iroh. I don't think the actor playing Iroh ever watched much of the show lol.

2024-02-26 07:03:44 +0000 UTCI enjoyed it overall! My main issue is that sometimes the acting was a little flat or some characters seemed uncharacteristic, but definitely not deal-breakers. Optimistic for a season 2. Can’t wait to rewatch the rest of the season with you all!
