I've been hard at work this week on the initial character that you meet in this dreamworld. She ended up being some kind of fusion of a goblin and Velma from scooby doo, but I like her! The reason her little sprite in the game isn't animated is because I actually plan to have her join your group like an RPG party member and follow you around during the summoning process. I thought it would be a fun way to make this sequence a little more dynamic!
My next avenues of work are going to be making more tiles for this dreamworld (you can see how woefully bare my testing area is in this gif), making the bust image for the thing you summon with her, then the CG, then the actual midnight man game that you have to play in order to make the summoning happen. After that, it will be finally time for another public release!

2024-03-28 21:09:45 +0000 UTCThe idea with the midnight man game is that you last to the end of it, and then the actual thing you were trying to summon shows up, which is the resultant scene of both of you getting smacks. If you get caught before the time is up, it results in a nightmare wake up scenario.
