I have to say I love this episode, even though it was painful. It's interesting that Mion is in a bad place when she thinks Shion is getting Keiichi's attention, but she only gets murderous when she thinks he's in danger. Even when she's not herself, she's still trying to protect others. It's tragic, but I also love how Mion is depicted when she kills Shion. She's already used to dissociate a bit from her actions when wearing the persona of the Sonozaki Heir, but with L5 in the mix it's like she has an entirely dissociative episode and doesn't even realise what she is doing until it's too late. Watching her break down after she understands was heartrending. The twins really don't deserve any of this pain they are going through. And Satoko being "C'mon...do something" for the first half of the episode was also nice. I wonder if she was afraid Mion would be immune...? Now, I'm just speculating, but I could entirely see Mion not even consider Rika as a threat to Keiichi...until Rika, thinking she's confronting Shion, confronts her, and is very surprised when Mion, confused and afraid, kills her on the spot.

I feel like it's the same criticism lots of people have in that, so far, Sotsu has really just shown us the most obvious way these arcs could have gone. I could understand Oniakashi being that way since Onidamashi wasn't too confusing of an arc, but considering how totally off the rails Watadamashi got, I was hoping Wataakashi would follow but... nope. Just Mion...goes L5 and kills everyone. It's super fun that we get to see L5 Mion but so far Sotsu has been more of a letdown than I was hoping! I'm eager to see if Tatariaskashi starts to mix things up because it feels like this arc has already been laid out. Also if I see Rika dance one more goddamn time...
