What happens when you mix together a knack for crossdressing, a pair of thigh-high black latex boots lent to you by a friend, a friend from college crashing at your place unexpectedly, and an unlocked door? Whatever the answer to this extremely specific question is, it's about to happen to Junip.

Hey y'all.?
It didn't feel completely right to try and end a project of this magnitude without a proper wrap-up. I wanted to at the very least thank you all for reading, and much more for lending me your support over the two years that this comic took to produce. I sincerely believe pursuing it to its completion wouldn't have been possible without your collective help, and as they often do, words fail in fully expressing my gratitude.
On the outset of creating this comic, I was a younger more inexperienced artist who had never made anything more ambitious than two page mini-comics. As I fell into the rhythm of writing & drawing up pages, I not only found the consistency comforting, but saw my skills sharpen over time. In many senses, working on the comic kept me afloat in a period of my life that was rife with uncertainty and rapid-fire self-discovery. Heck, I didn't even consider myself transgender when I started the thing!
This brings me to: Lewis. In a lot of probably obvious ways, I am Lewis. Lewis is in a period of her life where she is starting again from nothing, reassessing things as deep and as foundational as her entire identity. She is taking her life in flux as an opportunity to grow more into herself, and express herself more truthfully. Her experiences and specific avenue toward self-discovery were informed by my own, and it's such a thrill to finally have her narrative come to fruition. Lewis is a transgender woman, and had been conceived as such since the inception of this comic.
For clarity, I'm not intending to say that participating in crossdressing is a precursor to transness (I mean, look at Junip). This was merely intended to be a story about sex, profundity, and the growth that can come from both. I put so much of my heart, soul, and personal experiences into this work, and I'm proud to call it mine, and to call it finished. Thank you all so much for reading, and I'm so excited to continue writing and drawing new stories for you (after a small break from them, of course)!
PS - Her name is Elise. ?
