It was an amazing finale, I think the parts people wish didnt happen will hit a bit differently on future watch throughs of the show. I know OF The Sound of Music, but I didn't pick the very start of the song. I actually know that song more from an episode of Family Guy where the Griffin kids sing it. You make a great point about how season started and ended on a close up on Ted's face, each time with very different looks, but the exact same motivation

So much resolution and I do love how the show reflects real life, the highs and the lows. Once Ted had made up his mind he knew deep in his soul that this was what he had to do. We knew it from the first view of his face this season in the first episode when he was saying good bye to Henry. And we knew we would end on Ted's face at the end and it was all peace and happiness. Even though it was "never about Ted" it was also all about Ted! A fantastic pretty much perfect series and ending. I have to say I was shocked you didn't know The Sound of Music "good night" scene!! They replicated that perfectly! An awesome film to rewatch someday! And Dani singing Adios was adorable!! I know you have lots more great stuff, keep it coming!
