What an opening to a episode.

2024-12-12 13:56:05 +0000 UTCIn that Sixteen Candles cutaway with the birthday cake, they originally had Jake unbutton his belt, but the censors thought that was "too suggestive." I don't how they managed to get him taking off his shirt past the censors, when it's just as "suggestive" as him unbuckling his belt.

2024-12-07 20:40:53 +0000 UTCThanks for the upload, I don’t know if you have seen American Dad, but it’s about as funny as Family guy, sometimes funnier in my opinion. Worth checking out.

2024-12-07 19:47:06 +0000 UTCIt's not that they watch the censored version, they watch the syndicated version which cuts that part out (Fox also would not allow it for fear of copyright infringement). Interesting though, the "side boob hour" is cut out of the episode in some versions. Only the DVD has the full version.

2024-12-07 18:33:27 +0000 UTCAs a response to complaints the FCC got for this specific episode, they reviewed it and sent a letter to the producers saying it "passed" and that they found the episode quite amusing.

2024-12-07 18:29:14 +0000 UTCThe episode is a response to the FCC's measures to the Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show controversy. Show creator Seth MacFarlane commented that the episode's plot was inspired by the rage of the Family Guy crew towards the strict rules that the FCC made after the controversy. The episode contains a sequence of various scenes from different previous episodes. Many of the scenes were cut from the episodes they were originally made for owing to Fox's internal censors. With a Nielsen rating of 4.4, "PTV" was the nineteenth most-watched episode of the week in which it was broadcast. The episode gained mostly positive responses from critics, and received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour) as well as an Annie Award nomination for directing.

2024-12-07 17:43:00 +0000 UTCPTV! I love this episode. Too bad you watched the censored version of an episode about censorship. The entire “Douchebags” (their version of Jackass) part is removed, and that’s one of funniest Stewie being traumatized moments.
