Loved the answer about whether it's okay to wish death on trump; thanks! I'm somewhere between utilitarian and some sort of virtue ethics I think. I don't think wishing it publicly or not makes any difference (ethically, not politically), but I do think that I should personally try to cultivate good traits in my own life whether my wishes have any power or not. Then again, I agree that Trump being dead makes him a lot less dangerous, and think that empathy for others (ie. those in cages on the border) is way more important than trying not to have schadenfreude in my own life. Anyways, fun to think about whether it's somehow bad that I was hoping he'd die of covid (and yah seriously, Barr too)
