I get tears in that scene too! And the next, Wei Ying's eyes watching Lan Zhan set up to drink with him (yes, it's the Emporer's Smile that he's been keeping under his floorboards just for his special someone :)) just after WY learned that backstory from LZ's brother - to me they show that for probably the first time, he understands the depth of Lan Zhan's devotion to him. So soft and full of new comprehension. Such superb acting! And when he says 'I'm sorry', I think it's for that - for taking so long to realize how Lan Zhan loves him and for not knowing what he went through for him (and the thank you is for these things too}. Finally (sorry such a long comment but I adore this scene)! the words translated on your platform as 'confidante' and 'one true friend' are translated elsewhere as 'soul mate', which you gotta admit gives a whole different feel to what Wei Ying is saying 🥰.
