Toying with a new GUI for the java version.

After talking with a few folks and reading some comments on the GUI picture I posted a while back for the Java version, I decided to redo it. The picture here is what I'm toying with.

It wont always look that cluttered, I have everything activated in this screenshot. The journal in the top left corner will act as a button to the menus and for viewing Tabi's statistics. The bottom compass arrows are for navigation. Both the journal icon and button icons can be hidden, in which case the arrow keys or wasd can navigate and J will open the journal.

Moving in the java version will be a cross between old-school 2d dungeon for major interiors and a fast travel like mapping system for getting to them.

Looks good, but is the game turning into a dungeon-crawler type thing? Just wondering about the navigation arrows and why they'd be needed.
