@steakandapplejuice, that’s not the point I’m making. WWE doesn’t have to compete with AEW, and Tony initially and throughout most of the first 2 years of the company always said that he isn’t competing with them and is only trying to offer an alternative. WWE, on the other hand, spent that time trying to undermine AEW through underhanded business practices, even though it doesn’t have to since it’s by far the industry leader. You ignored the recent examples I provided, btw, like WWE leaking the fast nationals of Rampage on weeks where it looks like the show underperformed. But anyway, it’s stupid to get wound up over Tony making light jabs on twitter that will in no way affect WWE’s bottomline, and ignoring all the things WWE did and still does to try to ruin AEW’s business potential. Also, every time Tony takes a jab at WWE, it’s usually in a tweet to promote Rampage. Almost like he knows that the “war” makes his tweets go viral and then marks spread it around, and that drives up engagement for Rampage. Almost like it’s good business strategy. Almost like Robert is the biggest mark on this podcast

2022-06-02 10:03:02 +0000 UTCMan, you guys are weird. Why are you so sensitive about Tony making jabs at WWE? Robert is, once again, so completely delusional if he thinks WWE doesn’t stoke the war with AEW. It’s just that when WWE does it, it’s shit that’s actually hurt the company’s financial prospects (see: extending Smackdown, pushing NXT to USA 2 weeks ahead of Dynamite, leaking the Fast Nationals etc.), while Tony Khan prefers light jabs on twitter. Get a grip. Scott’s my favorite host, but man there needs to be someone who will push back more on Robert’s shoddy pro-WWE arguments.
