Two Options Going Forward…

Whoops! Missed your comment earlier somehow. Yes, I intend to continue doing colored illustrations. The shift to comics (and me talking about it) is so everyone understands what my priorities will be moving forward. Thanks for your words of support Monosex :)

I've been a fan of your Illustrations for a long time (and the way you explain how did you come up with them, I even started to save in case you ever took commissions someday), I'm happy you've finally decided to go with comics which is your true passion and I respect that (Hot Shit High! was really good, glad to know you're going for chapter II), after thinking for a while I'll go with option 2, just promise us you'll keep doing those amazing colored illustrations from time to time, I will keep supporting you whenever I can.

I hear you. It's great that you're so supportive of art you enjoy. Right now with the per update model you are likely being charged 3 times a month by me, unless you've capped your pledge. Assuming you haven't, the new reward tiers should be priced somewhat similarly. Regardless, I don't want anyone to spend more supporting me than they are comfortable with. Any support is appreciated so please don't stress yourself for me :) I'm happy just to have you.

I'm indifferent to either as the result will be the same, BUT this usually winds up with me spending more as past experience with others as revealed. Then I'll have to evaluate my options. I support about 2 dozen artists as it is.

Well the goal for me is to have one single page so I’m focusing on what I really want to create and not dividing my time as much. I wouldn’t want to keep a second page open and have people pledge to it if I’m not committed to providing content to it. Patreon has assured me that if I convert this page into a monthly model the past rewards will stay and be accessible to supporters, but you’d have to update your pledge in order to see new content. I’m leaning toward using this page and urging supporters to update their pledges when the changes are made. I think that might be the best solution.

I also agree that it'd likely be better to make a new page but NOT delete this one; the educational merit of the tutorials, steps, and PSD files is large enough that just NOPE-ing 'em would suck major ass

Imo, you have a lot of educational info on the page that would be a huge loss if it's all deleted and rebooted. You created a huge name for yourself with those tutorials. They're what pops up when you Google Erotibot. So, of course, proceed with the comic and pursue whatever your passion becomes. Definitely restructure the tiers so you don't have to spend time making specific rewards. But, don't lose who you are.

I'll need to think about it. The main reason I'm doing B&W is so I can spend as much time as I need focusing on the quality of the panels and pages since coloring usually takes me an inordinate amount of time (like I obsess over it). Color pages are a possibility in the future yeah. I'll need to experiment with styles and creating easy color palettes. Hot Shit High will likely remain in black and white but there are other comics I have planned for the future too.

I havnt been paying super close attention to your progress into comics. Any hope of full color? I'd love to see that. Even if you just paid someone to do it or did a much easier version of your own brilliant color work.

Just my 2 cents on this post... I am amazed by your line work. That is 100% why I am here. I found your Patreon page through your tutorials and have been a fan since. The colored illustrations are great and I find the comics entertaining as well. I am game for what ever you do as long as you continue doing it.

The plan for the immediate future is to focus on comics, but to still produce color illustrations between periods of comic updates. I'm not sure how often that will be but my hope is that the comics will be worth staying around for on their own.

I really liked chapter 1 of HSH, but I have to say I like your regular colored art way more. I've been a patron for so long now, (maybe 4 years?) as long as you incorporate your regular art and not just B/W comics I will remain a patron wherever you go. If you stopped doing the regular artworks and just went full B/W comics, then I would have to stop also. That's my thought on the subject.

The goal I think is for it to be more affordable actually. The way it is now you make a pledge, but you're charged that amount for every upload I make in a month (unless you have a cap). With the new page there will just be one monthly charge. So for example. A $2 pledge costs most supporters $6 now. For the new page I want the $2 pledge to become a single $5 pledge. At the same time though I'm gonna make a push for people to pledge to higher tiers, but there will still be affordable options.

I think your comics have a better chance of generating wider appeal, and hopefully you can work with places like FAKKU to expand your fanbase. In that situation the reward tiers themselves would be deleted but past rewards would remain on the page for everyone. New tiers would be created, but moving forward you would not have access to locked posts until you edit your pledge to one of the new tiers. That's my understanding anyways. I've been in talks with Patreon on how best to do this, and I'll be sure to keep you updated and to try to answer any questions you have.
