2021-11-20 18:53:16 +0000 UTCSpeaking of social media: 1) Most people can't tell when they are being manipulated, let alone children. Knowing that it can occur is not the same thing as awareness. Which is why critical thinking and skepticism are so important. 2) We can put a man on the moon, build space stations and accomplish amazing things, yet, we can't find a way to use technology to counter the abuse of technology. We can't, to paraphrase Douglas Adams, use technology to overcome both itself and plain common sense. 3) As a capitalist society, we have zero will to do anything that might hinder making money. Money is more important to America than its own citizens.
