+1 for that. As a fellow resident of Perth I'd love them to come over. Although, with the pronunciation of "Perth" I've have Americans fail to understand me due to the soft "r" that's generally used. They thought I said "Peth"

Not just Aussies. UK too. Last time I checked, the letter at the end of the word is pronounced 'yew', not 'ooh'. The reverse is the only way Cara's pronunciation works! I think Cara's great, but she does like to try to impose her World view on everyone at times. :-)

+1 Doug for Emu pronunciation. Also, forget about going to Melbourne, they always get all the fun! You need to come to Perth instead for the following reasons. 1. We have a huge fan base of Skeptics who need some love too. 2. We have better weather - even melbournians won't deny that! 3. Easy pronunciation. 4. Quokkas...lots of them!

Thanks for making the effort you pronounce "Melbourne" correctly, but I'm afraid you've got "emu" wrong. It's pronounced "eem-you" by every Australian I've never heard say it, and I've lived here since 1971, so I've heard it quite often. I'm only mentioning it as Cara pointed out the pronunciation, it sounded like the ad she mentioned had it right.

Stephen Barnes came across as a veteran rogue... well done.

Was the SgrA* photo actually released? The only place I've ever seen it was on the Veritasium video, where he says it's a simulation.
