Ikea inspired bird figures
Added 2024-03-17 21:32:04 +0000 UTCYesterday my parter and I went to the Conshohocken IKEA and my absolute favorite purchase were these wooden "DVÄRGTALL" figures
Feeling inspired I used the silhouettes of some birds I've drawn in the past and inflated them in Illustrator (the extent of my 3D abilities) to surprisingly satisfying results!

2024-03-18 13:08:28 +0000 UTCTotally makes sense!! I wish I could attach photos here, but I found the felted birds of a White Breasted nuthatch and a Blackburnian Warbler. They are so cute! I feel like the wooden birds could be figurative/shapey still but then have painted features that are specific to a bird species - like a White Throated Sparrow could be easy to do!
