This episode affected me deeply. I like how you've added a lot lately to episodes about the survivors and the impact(s) these events have had on them. It makes it more than just a simple narration of the facts of the (no matter how interesting that may be).

I was 11 when this happened and lived close by, I remember the feeling at the time and even now I don't think anyone of a certain age takes the Prospect exit off the M4 motorway without thinking of Anita. I really didn't want to listen, but I trusted you to handle the story with the respect and empathy it deserves, and you didn't disappoint, well done.

This was an amazing episode. I have experience with the mysterious death of a loved one. Your focus on John and Gary and Grace was moving and a long-overdue component in true crime discourse. I always love Casefile and this episode is a true standout.

Now that I've listened to it: my gut was right. You did a superb job covering this case without turning it into something salacious or impossible to get through. I'm curious about something: are real-life reenactments a thing in Australia? I think I've heard of it being done in the UK, too. I just have never heard of it being done elsewhere.

I am not one for the death penalty but I would quite happily flick the switch on that scum.

I haven't listened to this yet, so I'll have more to say after I do, but I just wanted to say I've been kind of wanting y'all to cover this... and kind of not. When I first heard of this crime I was so horrified by it, as I am by all cases similar to it. I've watched a couple specials about it and they were hard to get through, especially the dramatizations and the interviews with her widower. The part of me that did want you to cover it grew especially after your EAR/ONS series. I trust Casefile to be frank-yet-sensitive about the sexual assault aspects.

Kate Gardner

listening now and am mortified. i'm in california and had never heard of this case. respectful, thorough coverage as always. rest i peace anita.
