No huge updates this month, mainly focused on cleanup and a few mechanics I've neglected the big ones being the camera system and lich. There's been a few combat changes and improvements as well.


For the camera system, most of it has been rewritten and should now handle larger characters and menus a lot better. Also less snapping and weirdness.


The lich race now uses the same body and the normal character so essentially characters will look the same lichified but gooier and it should support custom skins as well. Hopefully I'll be able to use the same system for different type of body textures like scales or fur, but thats in the future.


I did a good amount of bug fixing. A few of the old ones still persist, losing the key after death, nonrespawning bosses, bosses losing their stats. I was not able to reproduce these no matter what so I assume it has to do something with how im handling saves and something with the timing is screwing up. If you experience these please tell me what exactly happens and when.


I added the ability to squish enemies when you are a significant level above them. Basically a skip fight like you would have in an RPG if you're over leveled.


For combat speed will now affect how fast your character can move, only in combat however, you hitbox/hurtbox is also larger/smaller depending on how big you are. Enemies will get more aggressive the bigger they are. In general enemies are a bit more aggressive. And overall XP has increased but it will peter off and flatten for grown enemies. So you can't game the system by growing one enemy forever. 


I did some other small things too, you can interact with things further away the larger you are, I touched up the chest so it should look better at larger sizes. did a bit of rewriting for NPCs looking at things, should be smoother now. I rewrote the turn timer for passive, should be more accurate now.


So sorry this update isn't that exciting, but there were some things I've been neglecting for a while that needed fixing.

I think the dungeon bug has to do with the game not updating fast enough when you squish the main room enemy (which controls the locked doors) and walking immediately through the doors as they open. I haven't been able to trigger this bug if I squish the main NPC, wait for the doors to fully open (giving the game a chance to think) and walk straight though. So at this stage you can't shotgun through a dungeon.

I know that the amount of ego points you get upon defeating enemies has been significantly scaled back. Things still grow but it takes significantly longer. I miss the growth animation at the end of each battle but at the same time I don't mind the slower progression.

Definitely a fan of the clean up updates. Provided below is my feedback. My apologies if any of these have already been reported and its also been a couple months since I last gave this ago so some questions are in the feedback if that's alright - Players's appear to have the option to transverse between the beach (the one with Sharkun) and the docks. When coming from the beach if the player walks through the the grass just left of the Wind (100 fat) barrier, there's a small crater that the user can get stuck in which results in them infinitely walking in in place. - Auto defeating enemies via squishing them will yield experience but not gold or items (not sure if intended). On a similar note, player have an option to talk to them after squishing them and challenging them to combat (not sure if intentional). Does ego increase upon auto squishing enemies? - As someone else has already mentioned, in some cases in the dungeon a player can run into an encounter where all their items can be lost and their skill bar defaults to unarmed on left click and nothing bound to the other buttons. - Lich looks great now. - I like the new pop-up that shows which items you obtained at the top of the screen. Would there be any consideration of showing the total quantity when you obtain a new one. For example "3x DemiDollars (450)". - After performing squats, it looks like the players weapons visual disappear from their hands. - Character customization looks like its substanially increased and well done on this effort. - Has the way ego worked changed? I see Max Ego as an option but when I defeat enemies, ego does not appear to increase. - If the player double clicks one of the character menu tabs (character, journal, etc) it will drop down once again. Doesn't appear to have any negative functional impact. - Is there a way to scale unarmed attacks? - If a player types in a really long name, it causes the experience bar to be pushed and eventually moving the character menu tabs (character, journal, etc) as well. Overall this looks good and looking forward to future updates :).

One annoying bug in the dungeon: not sure of all of the conditions but at some point, you're forced in combat with one random enemy and your equipment is gone, the only thing you can do is quit or die. Happened on active combat, early levels. Love the new improvements! Keep up the good work!
