Now without further ado, here is the first progress report =D
What's been done? (TLDR)
- Wardrobe nearly done
- Automation for the category buttons is still being worked on
- Completely reworked the DOLL layering system
- Which made it possible to automate some other things
- Minor improvements to code in general
After fixing up 0.01a and the Android build I have mainly be working on an "expression build" for Newman. It is basically wardrobe 2.0, what it does is add some more options for testing. Things like the expressions and bodyparts and the ability to pick the character (including the NPC's). In the game you'll access a girl's wardrobe by talking to them so you woudn't have the character names showing at the top.
It still needs some tweaks to the UI and automation for the category buttons as right now the buttons are hardcoded. This means some character have buttons for things they don't have. The guys for example don't have boobs ;)
While working on this I also found a way to improve the layering system for the dolls (character models). This got rid of 400+ lines of code and opened up some options for automation. So now when someones pose changes, the clothing changes with it. Or when Shar wears her standard top (which squishes her boobs a bit) it will hide her boobs so they don't bleed through.
As for what's next, I should be able to finish up the expression build/wardrobe within the next few days and continue onto combat. I already found a very promising system online that I can use as the base. As of right now I can't give you an estimate on it yet.
