Well, I finished creating all the detail for the AO map, combined it with our Albedo map, Squared up the UV, and did everything Arc Studio said they do and... well, I guess we're done. Might not be "exactly" the same as the same as the way they do it in Guilty gear, but all things considered, I think it looks pretty close - :)
This was without a doubt the most difficult Art Style I've ever attempted lol. But, it was also an incredible learning experience. The biggest value I probably got from this is the fact that now I know how to explain how to create this art style. I know what it is, how long it takes, and how to walk people through it in a tutorial series -
I know I say this often, but I just wanna restate how I would have never had the resources to spend so much time researching this technique if it wasn't for you guys supporting each month here - I think a lot of people will really look forward to the Anime Tutorial Series I've got planned from this, and we also got a cool look for our game now.
