Assistant Takes Charge

“Sometimes I really wonder how it came to be that you got the position you’re in. I mean yes you went to university and you got really good grades but you’re application has been really appalling. Do you understand how long I have to stay back some nights to fix all your mistakes on the reports you submit. It’s like you don’t even bother proof reading how did you get by in university. I bet the only reason you actually got this position is that your mother is so high up in the company If only she really knew what you were like. Seriously imagine how much less stress you would put me through if you actually did your job properly. I wouldn’t have to worry about them making us redundant, but I guess you don’t care your job is probably going to be safe no matter what mama’s boy. 

Don’t threaten firing me, you know I’m right. Can you imagine what would happen without me here nothing would ever get done and you couldn’t spend most of your day just lazing around while I do everything for you. We really need to swap positions you can be my assistant and I’ll take your job since I practically do your whole role for you anyway. Yeah well I know it’s not going to happen not while your mothers in charge just please try and be helpful while we’re away on this work trip ok. We are meeting some really important client’s and I don’t want you screwing everything up for us because you decided to go out for drinks as soon as we land. Just act like you’re actually an important company executive and taking your job seriously for once in your life.”

“I can’t believe you, honestly I asked one thing from you and that wasn’t to get completely sloshed the moment we landed. But no I go and get the keys to the hotel and you’re already gone to some pub. I didn’t even bother waking you this morning when it was time for us to leave because I knew how hung-over you would be. Definitely not in any sort of condition to represent our company and its values. Well lucky for you I had prepared for this exact scenario and knew exactly what to say to our clients in order to get them to sign with us. It actually didn’t take as much convincing as I thought it would they were quite impressed with my presentation. Of course I couldn’t introduce myself as your assistant they wouldn’t take me seriously and would be offended that you hadn’t come yourself. Luckily for us they bought my story that I was indeed a partner and taking over the presentation for you since you had become unwell and were recovering at home which was partly truthful. 

So once again I managed to save our jobs through hard work and with no thanks to you. A thank you would be appreciated but I guess I can’t even rely on you to be even remotely respectful towards me. The only reason why I put up with you is because one day I hope that the roles are reversed and they see me for who I truly am and how I am much more qualified to be in your position then you are. If that day ever happens I’ll make sure you know your place and do exactly what I tell you to. Nothing to challenging of course a child could do a better quality of work then what you’re capable of but I imagine I could find something useful for you to keep yourself occupied with when you aren’t out running errands for me. *Knock Knock* I wonder who that could be? I’ll get the door just make yourself look somewhat presentable would you.” 

“My… My how the tables have finally turned, I’ve been waiting for this day for so long I can’t believe it’s finally happened. Ever since that knock on our door everything just became so much brighter in my life. Who would have thought that I made such an impression that those clients mentioned me by name to your mother and told them how unfortunate it was that they didn’t get a chance to meet you and that they wished you well on your recovery. Your mother really got here fast didn’t she, taking the companies private jet the first chance she had to see us that day. I guess it’s only a few hours flight but still she really wasn’t happy with you. I finally got the chance to tell her everything I do for the company and how much of a liability you really are. The best part was she ignored everything you said in your own defence and believed me. I guess it wasn’t hard to convince her she could clearly tell you were hung over; she honestly didn’t seem that surprised. I think she really wanted to believe you were capable of being an adult but now look at you.

Of course she offered me your position straight away and after your tantrum she told me to treat you the way you were acting. You had no choice to submit or be taken off the company pay roll completely. Now here you are fetching me coffee in your new company uniform. Inside a nice thick diaper underneath your adorable blue overalls with the teddy motif on the front. This definitely suits you more than a suit ever did it’s much more appropriate. Everyone in the company seems to agree to we might open up a company day care so the other mums can bring their babies in too then we’ll have somewhere to put you while you aren’t out doing something for me. I love how on board your mother is with your new look too, she loves when you come toddling into her office and ask for a diaper change, I think this new life is really going to suit you. You’ve definitely improved in your new role as the companies baby I think you might have finally redeemed yourself little guy. What’s the matter I know what that face means, come lie down I think it’s time for a clean diaper.”
