Toon It Up: Swelling into Herodom (Preview)

Allie looked around her surroundings. No one was in sight and there were no cameras around either. The alley behind the coffee shop was free of prying eyes. This would do.

Okay, time to save the city. She smacked her hands against her cheeks, reddening them. Wake up, Al! I need you!

There was no response. No thought followed. It was almost like her head was empty.

That wasn't going to cut it. She shook her head, smacking it some more. Her cheeks stung, but she didn't care. Come oooooooon! I know you're there. Get your big gear in motion!

Finally, there was a sound. It was a yawn, one that was rather gruff and thick. An equally thick voice followed it. Awwww, I wanna keep sleeping, dough. I'm tired.

Al, come on! She pleaded, I need you to get your fat butt moving.

Heh… you like dat big butt of mine, eh? It is a lovely, chunky one, ain't it?

Allie ignored that. I need your help saving the city! Someone wants to flatten the city into a pancake!

Ooooo, I do love pancakes.

It's a figure of speech, doofus! Allie groaned out loud, wanting to facepalm so hard. It was one thing to have a superhero identity. It was another if that suphero side was also a toon side, especially one like that. It was a miracle they managed to save the city even once before.

Please Al! There's gonna be trouble!

Okay, okay! Al is heard yawning again. I's wouldn't let the town get flattened. I'll do it… but I dooooo wanna have a few stacks of pancakes as a reward.

Okay, fine! Allie sighed. “Sure, you have a few stacks of pancakes. I'll covered it. Just get moving so we can BURRRRRRRRRP!”

At the end of those words, her face started to wobble and shake. A large belch soon followed as her face shot forward into a canine muzzle, a big, puffy dog snoot at the end of it. Blue hairs sprouted all over it, starting to spread onto her cheeks.

She blushed. Why did it always feel good to do that?

The shaking went down into one of her hands. She looked at it, watching her digits popped into pudgy paw fingers with thick pads and fur. Blue hairs began growing out, fingernails turning to stubby claws. She saw the fattening expand into her wrist and start climbing her arm.
