Vinny continuous staring at the ceiling went on. The brown-haired man laid on his bed, stretched and tired. He was bored, really bored. Everything that needed to be done was done and everything he wanted to do for fun was also done. There was nothing going on in his life.
...I need to get out more. He thought, staring at the same spot of bumpy paint on the wall. Need to do so something other than this.
His depressed, exhausted sigh echoed throughout his bedroom and into his empty apartment. “I need a change of pace… like stat.”
Change of pace. He sat up in bed. Change of pace… wait a minute.
He smacked himself on the head, feeling like an idiot for not thinking of it sooner. He smiled brightly as the solution became more and more obvious.
Transformation. He hadn’t had any transformation fun in a good, long while. That always livened things up in his life, especially if whatever form he ended up in had special interests or exciting hobbies that “pushed” him into doing them.
Well, time to contact the girls. With a big smile on his face, Vinny snatched up his laptop from the nightstand and popped it opened. He mouthed the words “Witchy Times. Inc.” as he swiftly typed the web address into the browser.
The page began to load, but his smile faded into confusion. The url changed to a different address, something called “Witch Bliss”. Wait, did something happen? Maybe I should’ve been checking their Twitter account or something.
Thinking about it, anything could have happened. It had been two months since he’d last checked in with his favorite, magical, green ladies. Worry only continued to fill him as the homepage showed two simple things. One, reddish, pink door with a heart on it. And two, simple text above the doorway that read: “Enter a world of green, smooth bliss~”
Vinny hovered his mouse over the door and clicked. Creeeeeak. A soft sound left his laptop speakers as a rather smooth animation of the door opening played. The screen zoomed in on the vast white void behind the door and then, it went black.
He looked up from his laptop and near his bed was a new doorway, like it had always been there. It was as pink as the door on the screen, with a heart-shaped symbol on its center.
“Well, that’s new.” Vinny recalled a far more plain, scratched up, brown door appearing in the past. Things must have really changed after all.
