There isn't a maximum. I've personally tested animated map files up to 60megs and they've worked fine.

Thanks for the heads up, that’s great to know! Did they announce what the file size limits would be for animated maps?

Hello! Yesterday, Fantasy Grounds patched in support for animated maps, tokens, etc., but the software is only able to support maps in the WebM(VP8) format and I was wondering if you might be willing to provide your maps in that format, too? This is the first time that Fantasy Grounds has ever supported animated assets and I think it might be a great opportunity for you to tap into another market given the fact that Fantasy Grounds has a large number of active users. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks Ryan! I've tended to usually do animated versions only of the primary maps due to my current rendering capacity, generally the night version is a little more involved than just a filter over the day version, it usually has unique lighting setups that would require full re-renders. If there are specific maps where people need more assets I'm always interested to know and I can scope out what's possible.

Hi MapGuffin These are all beautiful! Quick question - any reason there are no animations for NIGHT editions?
