They live off scavanged food and since they're stanch isolationists, they mostly try to avoid contact with drenics. For generations they've been living in a world made for titans and often find themselves on the bottom of the food-chain.
They're not helpless tho... since regular Firearms are mostly useless against the titanic fauna of Drene, they developed a low-tech, easy to produce Weapon called "Boom-Harpoon", a short throwing-spear that detonates on impact, doing enough damage to scare away most predators that would go after humans.
Not much is known about the origins of the "Remnant Union" and how they wound up on drene. But nevertheless, their civilisation flourishes due to the abundance of food left over by drenics.
