The girl getting her blood sucked by the Death Eater in the battle scene was Ron's ex from Half Blood Prince. Her name was Lavender Brown. That moment was poetic because it was Hermione attempting to save her life after feuding with her over Ron the year before.

Fun Fact: JK Rowling told Alan Rickman Snape's background after the second movie. Only the fourth book was out at the time. He was one of the only people to know about it and he kept it from everyone, including the directors

Fun fact Blake, there is a spinoff of this and it's called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It's a play but you can read the book form of it. It's not by JK Rowling but she's co-signed it and says it should be considered canon. It's about Albus Potter and his best friend... Scorpius Malfoy. They're both in Slytherin. Ron and Hermione's daughter Rose is also a main character in it. It's won a lot of theater awards like Tonys and Olivier Awards. Tom Felton who plays Draco just did a run on Broadway a few months ago where he played Draco in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I think for Slytherin fans it's pretty decent but there are some contradictions and retconning.
Another fun fact about the HP fandom is that there's a huuuuuge subset of people who are fans of the Marauders Era, so when James, Lily, Severus, Lupin, Sirius, and Peter Pettigrew were at Hogwarts. Back in the day, subfandom was almost as big as the fandom overall. The fanfiction in that space is damn near canon and it's all based on such little information we know about that era.
Finally, y'all are severely sleeping on Professor McGonagall. She was always the second-in-command and Transfiguration (her subject) is considered the most difficult. I always considered her to basically be Hermione but in adult form. Also, she's named after the goddess Minerva!

At Gringotts when Hermione uses the polyjuice potion to turn into Bellatrix, they couldn't show the wand as proof because Bellatrix reported the wand stolen. Therefore, they would've know it was an imposter. They only mention this in the book.

Several things that the movie never touched on, but I think are extremely important: 1) the saying that Harry looks so much like James. I think Rowling knew people would think Snape is Harry’s dad after witnessing this incredible reveal, but she made it obvious that Harry is James’ son. 2)Severus and Lily remained great friends during their tenure at Hogwarts, but Lily became increasingly wary of the crowd Severus hung around (known Death Eaters). The end of their relationship was when Severus called her a Mudblood, combined with his own proclivity for the Dark Arts. 3) When Severus went to Dumbledore to ask him to hide the Potters, he was solely a Death Eater. He became a double agent after that. 4)Severus knew where Harry and Hermione were due to that piece of mirror and another ex Headmaster named Phinaeus Nigelus Black. Severus regularly talked to the portraits in the Headmaster’s office for advice. Indeed, it was Dumbledore’s portrait that told Severus he had to give the correct date of Harry’s removal from the Dursleys, resulting in Mad Eye’s death.
