Little things

I haven't been able to do much art over the last two weeks - there's one Critical Role commission I'm currently working on, the gold leaf image is on the backburner (I definitely hope to get to all of it once the holidays start!) My eyes are getting better so slowly that my ophthalmologist didn't see much improvement when I was at the clinic yesterday. We're probably looking at a few more months of poor eyesight before the spot is healed (if it does, I'm still not allowing myself to fully believe it will).

In the meantime, with school being the usual end of term madness (got two stacks of exams on my desk with a third coming on Thursday), I've started taking out my creativity on new little goodies! I've once more ordered stickers, which I'll soon be offering as sticker packs in my shop. Aren't these pretty? Not a water bottle in this house was safe when they arrived yesterday. =D No time - or light - to shoot proper photos yet.

I then decided to go through with an idea I've wanted to try for a long time: Wooden pins! They've been floating around a bit, are MUCH more ecological than enamel ones, much more responsibly sourced, and they work with actual artwork that's printed on them. I've ordered some of Thranduil to see how they turn out; I'll keep you posted!

The new Maedhros, Fingon, and Fingolfin pins are set to arrive here in about a week too - I'm very excited.

I also did another sketchalong for yesterday's Critical Role episode. The top row was heavily under eye dilation drops still, and I took a half-hour break from sketching during the episode too, because I didn't think anything was really working out the way I wanted it to. Then I decided to do the large sketch of Chetney in the middle and that broke the ice. So here you have the live documentation of an art slump being broken. I think that's kind of cool.

And at the final minute, of course, Orym got a magical sword linked to his late husband, so you can bet there'll be more art based on that =D

Pray for you every day. Wooden pins sound interesting, especially for the genres you work in (Star Wars probably needs to be more metallic 😉.)

Wow, the stickers came out gorgeous! Especially the Orym “peaceful solutions guy” one.
