Digital vs traditional colouring

Traditional colouring:

1. Start working.
2. At some point, be finished.

Digital colouring:

1. Start working.
2. Be totally elated by the first stages.
3. Hate the third stage with a passion.
4-6. Try to fix what you hated about stage 3.
7. Hate your fixing attempts with such passion that you cry into your pillow.
8. Scrap all but the first and second stage.
9. Work totally differently.
10. Cautiously start to like what you're doing. Then go to sleep.
11. Hate what you did yesterday. Scrap again.
12. Start once again. Cautiously like that approach.
13. Absolutely love what you're doing after you've finished 20% of your painting.
14-72. Repeat until you're finished.

I HOPE. =D

I'll have to tone that down in the end - it's a common problem for me, to do insanely realistic horses but then fall short in other places. :)

This is stunning! You're really making this new method of watercolours your own -- Snowmane looks like a sculpture, so much depth and texture, it's almost photographic! <3

Because artists need more cause for angst in their lives! 😉
