After creating my Vintage T-Shirts Set 1, I decided to try creating more vintage shirt sets but this time I would do so by painting my own series of pop culture logos in Simlish. Why in Simlish and not English? As I said before; It has always irked me to see English or other real-world languages used in logos on clothing in the Sims. It just seems so out of place there. The Sims have their own language, thank you very much, and it’s called Simlish. If you want to put words on Sim’s clothes, use Simlish!!
So what did I do? I took real logos from real bands and other pop culture icons then used a series of Simlish fonts by Franzilla over at MtS to replace the text on the logos. I then painted over the text to make it match more closely to the original logo fonts while adding other details along the way or fixing the logos as needed. After that, it was a matter of creating a “vintage” effect when adding the new Simlish logo to the shirt fabrics. I then added the new vintage shirt textures to the wonderful t-shirt meshes for men and woman by Darte77 (meshes are required and can be downloaded below). Each shirt design is available for both men and woman. Check out all of the images attached to this post for a preview of each design.
There are more vintage logo shirts that I want to create so be prepared to see a Set 3 and maybe even a Set 4
*All logos are of course the property of their original trademark and copyright owners. No infringement is intended. These shirts are being distributed as fan art and according to the guidelines set down by Electronic Arts for Sims custom content. Please don’t sue me.
