Added 2015-08-06 12:53:41 +0000 UTCI've had these hundreds of photos on my hard drive that I took at the Burg Satzvey tournament in May, and finally decided to indulge in Maedhros, and Maglor, and horses! Whee! Brittany was happy to make it her prompt (which was Maglor). Hope you enjoy its procession!
What's happening there, what do you think? I'm not sure myself.

My reference was mirrored, so I flipped him and of course he'd been holding the reins with his left - so I thought, why not put the stump to some use so he could have his left hand free for weapons etc? True about Finrod. But it figured that slighting a few Feanoreans that way was fine for the bigger scheme. Just kidding. ;)

And it's clear they've seen something that catches their attention more than a couple of deer would do. Something to think of, Maedhros seems to be reining in his horse, but with his right arm. Could actually be done, long ago I read an article about a girl who was born without her lower arms. She was riding competitive dressage while tying the reins to her stump. But otherwise Maedhros would also strike me as the kind to ride just with both reins in his left hand. Well, if Finrod had not gone away, he would never have met the Edain, so I think him getting away was part of the bigger scheme.
