Pre-release dev day 3
Added 2019-07-28 19:54:32 +0000 UTC
Hey guys! We're hard at work polishing the game for the planned Early Access release on Wednesday.
We completed two more of the critical tasks today (so 10/13 are done). We'll continue on the next dev day, which is tomorrow.
This thread has taught me a new respect for industrial machinery

Yeah, lathe accident is not a pleasing Google image search. There was a Yale student killed by a lathe back in 2011. It had caught her hair and pulled her in. Poor girl was only 22.

ahahahah! Actually it kind would be the lead in to a great 'exhibitionist' Vignette!
Escalators will do the same (though usually not on shirts, but rather long flowing dresses/skirts).

Yeah - machinery isn't something to mess around with... and that is not even 'Heavy Duty' or high duty cycle stuff. (on those the e-stop switch and sensors are just so the machine doesn't get to gunked up by the person's "squeezins" and need to be repaired - because there is no time between "Oh -" and "yeah, he's dead")
And yes, she is far too cute to get messed up like that!

Sounds safer than the hoodie.
Remember, girls: wear clothes that can easily be torn right off, just in case they get caught in something.

I knew a guy who was wearing a flannel shirt next to drill press. It grabbed his shirt and simply ripped it off almost instantly.

Hard to reach the e-stop when you're being horse collared by your own hoodie.
In the end, we had to cut him out of his hoodie. It had wrapped around his upper bicep and squished the muscle down to the bone. A year later his arm still looked funny. It never really came back right.

ðŊ That sounds horrible! Don't those machines normally have an emergency stop button? What happened?

Hubba hubba. She shouldn't be wearing a welder's mask while working on a drill press, certainly not with her hair loose like that. I once worked with a guy whose hoodie drawstrings got caught in a drill press and he was pulled into the machine and it really messed him up. She's way too pretty to get messed up like that. :)
