Dynamic clothes day

Up to the modelling scene in the bunker, the game changes your avatar's clothes automatically.  After that, you start taking more control of the agent's look.

We don't know when you'll wear each item, so clothes from this point forward need to be dynamic – that means each item needs some code attached so that (for example) when your agent puts on a pair of high heels, the shape of her foot automatically changes.

Luckily, the game already has dynamic clothes code, so adapting it for the new HD clothes is pretty simple.

One cool new feature is that thin tops now have an independent "pokies" layer, which is used if your agent wears it the way feminism intended (i.e. braless).  

Previously we created multiple artworks of each thin top and uploaded them separately.  It was a bit of a pain in the ass to do (which is probably why I think we only did it for one top, the grey sleeveless t-shirt the agent lives in for most of the game).

Having an independent pokies layer speeds up the process a little bit, and also allows us to do something subtle but cool.  Now the pokies are in their own separate layer, the game can automatically fade them in or out based on the agent's Arousal score!

So in Dubai, for instance, if your agent lets Max oil her back, you might notice the avatar's nipples getting harder through her bikini top.  Here's how it looks:

The game applies the effect automatically, so you should notice it "popping up" at appropriate times in the story: maybe your agent's nipples will be hard through her dress after a makeout session in a nightclub, or through her PJ shirt when she wakes up from a sexy dream.

Right now, of course, the sexiest dream I could have would be one in which version 1.5 gets released.  We're making good progress, and I'll continue on the next dev day, which is tomorrow!  Have a great Saturday night, everyone.
