February update (and changes to 2023 plans)
Added 2023-02-26 11:03:24 +0000 UTCHello fellow patrons,
Back in December I made a post detailing my future plans. But in the wake of Mecklenburg video some thing needs changing.
While the video is a resounding hit, it admittedly took way too long to make. It doesn't generate any revenue either. It is a trend that my most viewed videos happens to be not monetized due to copyright and I usually don't mind that because I have this Patreon.
But since that Mecklenburg video, I realized that I've been leaving way too much on the table, multiple times. So right now, I don't feel like making another unsustainable video, I will focus on my mainstays like How-tos for the time being, that will be monetized, which will provide resources to start other projects, and all other plans I wrote back in December.
This might sound like me being capitalistic but really, my responsibilities in real life has reached a point where I could no longer ignore incomes from places that just sits there right in front of me all this time.
I'm already thankful for all the continued support for production of my contents, but right now, the Yuro in real life needs to keep up with that.
Cheers and have a good day :)

Very interesting view, I never thought people watch my vid because I'm good at the game, I always thought its because of jokes and good editing, while being good at the game is kinda a given. But yeah, there's always this part of me that always want to push boundaries and crave satisfaction when "I made it", despite actually bleeding in the process. I think its time to reel that back, and focus on doing things I would enjoy during and after finishing it :)

Also think that while all your efforts are good and some are great -- the love in the Mecklenburg video really shines through -- the How-To videos are your most solid format. The voiceovers provide twice as many jokes as the visuals alone, to begin with. But a major reason why people come to your channel besides the jokes is that you're good at the game. The How-To videos provide a lot more of your reasoning that makes you good, and also have a lot more nuance than some of the other videos. Die Mehrkanonen, whilst an excellent video, is ultimately mostly a highlight reel. The How-Tos necessarily have more balance. Glad to see more, whatever you make. It's endlessly refreshing to listen to somehow who seems to enjoy the game, and can think outside the box.
