Some Kind of Virus (Status)

Hi everybody, just to let you know, I'm putting a pause on Some Kind of Virus for now. Although I have the story all plotted out and am very excited for some plot twists to unfold, I think I just exhausted myself trying to introduce everyone one after the other and trying to give everyone their fair time in the spotlight. 😅 I'm used to writing missions where there are like three or four people at a time, not having like twenty characters be newly introduced rapidfire one after the other, lol! So until I get some inspiration back for it, I'm going to be putting that AU on pause for now and have returned to writing a new "canonical" serial story that takes place during the game, sometime around or after The Bridge of Bones and For Everything There is a Season! This one features Briony, Red, and Chase as they investigate a case of demonic possession near Ambryn; not only does Wintry, a character from the novels, appear, but so will Red's sister Lydda! This one's been a lot of fun for me because I haven't yet attempted to write any of these three characters in "the modern day"--all of their prior short stories take place in their distant past--so it's been great getting into their headspace and learning more about who they are today!

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up if you're wondering where SKoV went: I will probably pick it up again sometime, but until then, I hope you enjoy The Darkness Within!
