Paint-O-Palooza Grail Rules

Dear Pioneers, Ladies and Gentlemen, 

We proudly present, the PALOOZA GRAIL! :D 

To keep you highly entertained before and during the Paint-O-Palooza, we have decided to run a Painting Competition! Today, we would like to share the official Competition Rules with you:

The Palooza Grail is our Painting Competition and since we have been attending many painting competitions all across the globe in the past, we would like to do some things different. There will be 5 categories: Single Miniatures, Bases, Busts, the Open Category and the Volunteers / Helpers Category. 

The most important twist about  our competition is the way it will be judged: Every participant will be able to vote on every entry! For this, everyone attending the event will get a voting card with a small voting square on all four categories. These cards are numbered and have great value as there is only one vote per person for each category. 

The registration of entries starts on Saturday morning. The entries will then be placed in their respective categories and all get their individual, continuous number. Then the public can take a close look and decide which ONE Miniature they think should win the respective Category. 

At Sunday around noon, we will close the public voting and start looking into which entry has been chosen for Gold, Silver and Bronze by counting the votes they got (simple majority). In case of a tie, our Head Judge has the final word. He (or she) will also have to choose one Best of Show Entry, which can differ from the vote of the people (but he also has to be prepared for the tar and feather treatment afterwards :D). 

The Overall Winner will be awarded the Paint-O-Palooza Grail, which is an authentic vintage one-of-a-kind Trophy created by Ben and Matt. We hope that there will be many constructive discussions between the participants about whom they choose to give their voice – and for what reasons.   

Why should you prepare a Project and compete in the Palooza Grail? Very simple: Attending a Painting Event like this is a great way to create, develop and successfully finish a project with the help of the Video Tutorials that we have been sharing with you over the course of time! It is the ultimate way of finding out what you have learned. It is also a really great way to hear some constructive, honest Feedback about your building and painting skills, to defeat the most vicious "Enemy" known to men: The Schweinehund / Yourself! And finally to help you set and reach a goal which will measure realisticly where you stand compared to fellow artists...

This huge amount of motivation and commitment that is generated in the long nights before an Event has helped us to find and strenghten our characters as Artists and brought valueable stories, memories, new friendship and experience from all the travels that were involved... Simply  a wonderful experience every single time...:)...
