In the Version 1.1 post they said they were able to make the file a lot smaller, which is now 3GB. You still get the full game, but it doesn't take as much space anymore

Okay, I have attempted to install about 3-4 times now. The problem is that the file only downloads to less than halfway, then will say that it is completed. I try to extract the files, and will always be coming up with an error, claiming that it is missing some file in the download. Any ways to resolve this issue??

In Hiro route too, when keitaro and Hiro are gardening, Hiro invite Keitaro to go to meet Hiro's mom and Keitaro agree. But in Day around 28-30 same conversation is happen. I think it is too weird to see same conversation again.

Also found another 'bug'.. I guess? Some characters (if not all) at certain points, "just now learn" things about another character, when in reality, they learned some scenes ago.. Like say this for an example.. Keitaro found out Hunter knows how to juggle shrunken monkey heads. "Cool!" and all that junk.. 5-10 days later, another event occurs the 'same' way, or Keitaro acts like it's his first time finding out, despite there being an event that shows that he already knows that Hunter juggles shrunken monkey heads..

Hi, so I emailed cservice@bmtmicro.com regarding to refresh my passwords, and they did. So I tried downloading both methods through both Chrome and Internet Explorer, and I am still receiving the same error as before. Where my download cuts off halfway and corrupts my rar file. The download gets started fine no problem but it always cuts itself off for some reason. It's not my internet either.

Probably. Unless they add art, there's no need to update the archive.rpa file (which accounts for 97% of the gamesize). They will probably be either updating the renpy or lib files, depending on the nature of fixes and such. As for the dlc, they might be creating a separate pack instead of integrating it so that we don't have to redownlaod the whole 15+gb

I will give an email to MIkkokun or at least the team about my appreiciation once I play more and some possible suggestions for the future. Granted I bet anything I would suggest would already be on their minds. But yeah, I am at least glad a crowd funding game did deliver.

Ok. I have had to do a work around to download the game. It is really down to the site just not liking your pc or your network. I was able to download the game by going to my unversity and downloading it there, then transfering it via USB, This is not fool proof by any means. But for people not at uni. You could possibly try and download it at a coffee shop or Library via your laptop. With that being said, my impressions of the game is the animations are...Not great, however the art and the erotic nature is great and I really appreciate the fact there is a lot of voice work within the game, even though through the erotic scenes it could of been better. however, there is one point in the game that made me need to make a post about the game. The writing in this game is the best out of any erotic game I have played, it actually made me cocked up at one part, without giving any spoilers, there is a moment where a character talks about a gift given to them that tugged at my heart strings and I am not exactly a man to get emotional over any media. but that spoke to me, and it makes me excited to play the rest of this the route and all the other routes. Yes there are some cheesy moments but there are spots of real emotion that I can not deny. All in all, good job Mikkokun, you delivery needs serious changes in the future, and your animation has growing pains. But you made a serious natured 3d games animator get invested in what you have to show in the future. Please don't make meaningless porn, while it is nice, those small parts of actual love really makes the game bvetter.

Y'know what I think would be cool? If they started creating/releasing merchandise based on the game.. Like Keitaro's journal (with blank pages, ofc), different colored ties with the camp symbol.. Animal badges that each character has.. "Team (Character Name)" shirts, like someone suggested before. Yoichi's collar &gt;w&gt;... custom plushies or body pillows (daki), even lewd ones. :&gt; I'd have trouble trying not to throw all my money.

So, I bought the game on the website to enjoy, but then as the game was installed for Zip, understood needed to be extracted. Went to extract it, didn't want to open. It kept saying that the compressed folder is empty. My internet speed is quite slow, which is typically a reason, so I re-downloaded again and it still wouldn't work. So in the end, I was wanting to try it one more time, but this time it denied me from re-downloading the game again.. At this point, if it's a refund or something that would get me to try to install the game again, is fine with me.

This method finally worked for me! Thank you so much! If anyone is having trouble with the Mac version use Archive Utility, move the extracted app to applications, then use the Terminal and input, without quotes, "xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Camp_Buddy_MAC.app".

MAC USERS!! After days of trouble shooting and getting no results I have finally gotten the game to work, after getting past the verification the app was still not launching and eventually I found out that my default archive app (unarchiver) wasn't unzipping the .zip file properly and once I used a different one which I believe was just my mac's own archive utility, it finally worked. So if you're having this same problem try finding a different unzipping app (either already on your mac or download one online) and try that. Best of luck to those still having trouble!

For mac users, it helps if you temporarily disable your firewall for the game to load for the first time and then you are able to turn the firewall back on once you have successfully launched the game. This allows for the game to properly load without it freezing up on you. Just a helpful tip for those who are using the mac version and have a problem with it loading after installation!

Please manually verify the app to run in "system preferences" and then begin the verification process. I would advise to reboot before that. Allow up to 20minutes for the verification. If nothing has changed we'll try something else c:

I've downloaded the game using the multiple links I've received from the BLits team. So far every iteration of the game has failed to launch due to an error that I do not understand. As it is, understandably, taking ages to get a response via email I am hoping you might be able to help me. When I check the traceback this is the message I see: 'I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred. While loading : File "renpy/common/00start.rpy", line 224, in script call call _splashscreen from _call_splashscreen_1 IOError: Couldn't find file '_transparent_tile.png'.

I'll see if I can recreate this bug!

I cant access the Mac version. The zip from BMT downloads successfully at 11.8GB. But when I extract the file from zip the first thing that pops up is, "There was a problem while reading the contents of Camp_Buddy_MAC-1.0-mac.zip : Data is corrupted". I click continue and it extracts the rest. I get the Camp Buddy app without a custom icon on it. When I open it it gets stuck on verifying. I tried using the suggestions above, used the Installer app workaround. Now I used the terminal to turn off the verifying step of the app. Now the app doesn't open, but at least I'm not stuck on verifying anymore!

I've also had the voices be one line behind for a short period, seen twice the same scene in the same save file (two different places in the story) during Yoichi's route, Seen ONE single typo (a P instead of an O), 1 animated cg with Keitarou having three arms instead of one, I forgot where and who but I remember One line where the name of the character was in the box ( like: Keitarou:) but it wasn't him and don't know if it was on purpose.... Might be missing something else but that's what I can think of including the Voices Volume. Finished Yoichi and Hiro's route, next is Natsumi.. I might have to redo their route though, didnt get the perfect for all the scenes..

Update. I've gotten to Day 3 in game. The only 'bug' that I've encountered so far is the one mentioned above: character voices vary in volume from loud to almost inaudible. My solution: in setting turn background music down to about 20%, turn Voices up to max volume, and Sound to about 85% to 90% (short of max). You still may have to play with your device volume occasionally, but you'll catch almost everything spoken.

So, I have no VPN or Download Manager, just firefox, or chrome or edge. I did a test and I went to my university and tried to download....It downloaded perfectly. Only problem...the file is so massive I can't transfer it, or I was not able to transfer it before uni closed. Now something here is very wrong, why is it I keep getting the download stopping at 100MBs. So something is not right at all here, it is not download rates on the site's end, it is not VPN or Download Manager, it just does not like my computer. Now I am trying on my laptop but the password is blocked, I asked them again to unblock me, their replies are not as frequent now...Lets hope they get back to me sooner then later...It is getting a little silly that I have to go to university and download an erotic yaoi game on their pcs and buy a big enough storage device to transfer it to my pc.

It happened to me when I first downloaded the game. The problem I had was that a bug was encountered while downloading from the browser, and the browser called the file as downloaded, even though it was not completely downloaded.

I'm back But I'm back with good news and bad news. AND NO SPOILERS BUT KIND OF THEN AGAIN REALLY NO SPOILERS Good news is I'm into Yoichi's route and I have NEVER CRIED SO HARD OVER YOICHI BECAUSE HE'S BAE AND I ADMIT I FEEL BAD MYSELF FOR KIND OF PICKING THE TYPICAL ONE BUT O M L WHOEVER DID THE STORYLINE, SIS HATS OFF TO YOU ITS SO GOOD AND FREAKIN HELL ITS WORTH THE MONEY I've just entered 7 hours in the game (yeah time flies) and thats not including the breaks AND the repeats over the scenes missed out. Like sis, it's soooo long BUT SO WORTH IT. I spent Rm218 (from Malaysia, whats good?) AND BOI I DO NOT REGRET IT WHEN THEY PROMISE PERFECTION THEY DID (just the awkward quiet voice bug tho) BUT they did. Bad news is that I cried. i keep getting end of archive during the download.

When i try to unzip the file it says the header is corrupted. AlZip can't unzip all the files and when i finally try to launch the game the computer doesn't find the .exe apparently.... Im done... Every day i try to access the link of Dropbox and "there is too many requests" and when i try with the google drive it's corrupted.... damn it

I'm having trouble opening the application on Mac. I right click to open but the app just opens and closes immediately on the Dock. I previously let the application sit unwatched while it was verifying, but now I can't even get that bar to appear again. I've opened System Preferences in Mac but can't find where to manually verify apps.

Finally got the full game late yesterday after one small download hour . It works fine on my laptop BUT I encountered some small issues like a very long launch time, some lag with rotating pics and weird voices sound level. 11 GB, even more, represents a huuuuge amount of work, I figure we need to wait for some patches. Actually hunting for Hunter's route....

Please manually verify the app to run in "system preferences" and then begin the verification process. I would advise to reboot before that.

Hello~ back again. I've tried all approaches multiple times (mac user) to get the file to download to no success pat 70 MB, and when i tried to give it another go today, there's another problem. When i click on any of the download links, or input the details manually, the BMT page just tells me file download error, password has expired??? was the download only going to work on the day of purchase?

It should be first tried with microsoft edge as it has a great resume tool for dwonloads that disconnect and pause. Please do not use download managers as they generate custom IP's that get your links blocked!

For those who are having problems downling the file (The download being interupted,), its a good idea to use a downloader so that the download doesn't disconnect. I personally use "J Downloader 2" - its a great program and reinfroces and reconects downloads if they try to disconnect! Its worth a try! :)

Anything could've happened to the previous email. If they haven't replied within 12 hours of your second sent email, then I'd suggest directly contacting the staff on patreon or twitter.

Hello, I bought and tried to download the Mac version. It kept stopping at about 120mb no matter what method I tried (download links from invoice page, going to the website and entering ID and Password, safari, chrome, external download manager e.t.c.) and now, it says that "the password has expired". I emailed 13 hours ago...had no reply, I have a problem with every link given to me to use for the download, every time I download it just stops after every 100mbs. I have bought the game near enough 24 hours ago and I still can't download the game...I bet if i bought the game now I would have no issues, according to others. Can I download this game from a certain software? I think I know why I can't decompress the game. It seems that during the download process, there is a problem in the middle of the network, causing the game to stop halfway and stop displaying it. Do you now have a standard folder with 4files and 4folders in it? If that is the case just double left click on the executable, give it a few seconds to launch, and you should be good to go in no time

I'm still playing it and I'm still shook , the only problem so far for me are the amount of save files and the weird "quiet" audio. Like I can hear them, faintly, if I turn the BGM off, but other than that, THE GAME IS LIT. Yoichi is bae, Yuri so relatable to all the fanbase, Natsumi is adorable, Aiden is daddy and Hiro is just 👌🏻. But that's all I can say and I hope they'll patch the game up. :')

If you go to the link they provided where it asks you to provide the ID and Password, underneath there should be a selection to contact us. Do so, fill out the information and afterward you will be brought to a new page. On the right hand side there is a chat to talk to someone, explain to them what is going on and they should resend you a new email with refreshed details.

Yeah it is an glitch and we have to wait for a maintenance for it. Just turn the music and sound levels down just so you can hear the voice clearly. It doesn't hinder the experience too much.

To those who have purchased the game from the site and perhaps anyone else who may be having the same issue I did. If you are attempting to download the game but it keeps "completing" (failing) even though it has only download 1% or perhaps you get halfway and it fails again. I had this same issue since I bought the game and managed to just fix it now. Even though they say not to download and use a free "Download Manager", do it anyway. I just decided to use one and after it finished downloading I am now able to play the game.

You could forward the email containint the download links, or a screenshort of your bank statement featuring the purchase.

So I've followed others' suggestions and tried to clone the Google Drive file, and while that does indeed get me past the issue of "Exceeded download limit," It doesn't solve my problem. When I actually click download, it says I don't have permission to view the page... I think this may just be drama related to me switching between Google accounts frequently, but it seems to be a real issue with my permissions to view the link... Any ideas? I don't think support will really be processing anybody's complaints for at least 12 hours due to the large influx of them and the team needing to immediately start work on mac patches (Judging by what others have said), so is my best bet to just wait on the traffic to dial back a bit?

OK seriously I have been very patient but it has run its course. I am entitled to a free copy of the game. I got the initial link, the one that didn't work. I'm seeing that all people entitled to a free copy have gotten a new link, but that's not true, because I didn't. I have emailed blits about 4 times now, no response. Hii back again. So I finally got my email after nearly 4 hours! But even though i've tried downloading from all 3 links, i keep getting the same problem. The process starts for about ten seconds and then it suddenly says the file has been fully downloaded (even though the predictor said it would take 2 hours). And when i try to open/unzip the file, i get a message that says 'unable to expand camp buddy- error 2 no such file or directory'.

So I think I downloaded the game properly but the only way I can load the game is to start the extraction from the zip file. Is there something im missing? I dont wanna have to go to the zip file every time to load the game.

I have bought the windows version from the site, and got the 3 download links etc, i'am aware the download time is 11+ hours which is cool but from some reason the download cancels before it even gets to 1GB with connection issues even though my connection is fine :s is this on problem due to servers or is more likely on my end i'm really not sure T_T has anyone else had this problem its happening repeatedly for the past 6-8 hours now i bought the game at like 3pm.

I'm having a problem whilst trying to download the game. whenever i click on one of the three links, it would start to download but not actually download any of the data ( remains at 0.0/11.0 GB). Then after about 30 seconds the file completed its download.I would try to click on it to open/ decompress the file but it shows an error message or "Window cannot open the folder" ... I have emailed them, but I am wanting to see if anyone else has any suggestions, I bought the game like 9 hours ago, I went to uni and try and download it again...I get the same issues. They would have to adapt the game for steam, it isn't as easy as uploading it. Concerning buying the game, it works for some it doesn't for others. Even if you buy it now and it doesn't work, once they fix it, you won't have to go through any hassle. And maybe it works on the first try. It's worth a try

For anyone who has bought the game and doesn't know what to do after. Just extract all the files, after extracting is complete. Look at the "Camp_Buddy.exe" file. It should have change to an icon after completion. Then open it and it should take a few seconds to load .

This issue may have already been addressed, but like many others, I have been having issues with the download speed. I tried using Edge and I had the most success with that one, and it said it would be completed in about an hour and a half which is a much more reasonable download speed. However, the download said it was completed when it had only downloaded about 4GBs. Now whenever I click on the download link to try again, I get the message "The password has expired" and I cannot download it.

Any idea when this is getting fixed? It's a bit silly that anyone who supported on Patreon, basically preordering the game, can't even play it unless they rebuy it from the store page or use a torrents already up with the game. Dropbox was a horrible place to try and host something like this. They even state right in their terms that even if you use an upgraded account you can only use 200GB of traffic per day before your link is banned. At 11GB, that's what...18-19 people before it's banned assuming no one shares the link? Come on team, I know you have to have better planning skills than this.

I just downloaded it but keitaro sounds a little louder than Hiro.

I have tried downloading it on internext explorer, chrome, and mozilla and it keeps ending at 609,987 kb. And then whenever i try to open the folder to see whats wrong it keeps coming up as invalid. Im like im going to take a nap this is so confusing 😂😂😂

Yes. They did try to send it to me again, but it never arrived. I stopped hearing from them, but I guess it has to do with the dropbox link having reached its limit. So it wouldn't matter if I get the link now or not. Guess we just have to be patient :)

I have a problem, further in the game (day 2) the parts that aren't fully voiced are working normaly, but the fully voices part are on very low volume. It's not about increasing the volume because then the fully vocies part will be normal, but the ones that aren't, will be too loud :(

I am sure the team greatly appreciates your patronage. I perosnally think that we patrons, contributed to this game because we enjoyed the project, not because we wanted some special, exclusive treatment. No special rewards except for the free game were announced, and such, no special priviledges should be expected. We supported it so far, we should continue supporting it. As for the dropbox issue, I don't think they could have anticipated the links going down, as the dropbox limitations are a gray area not many know about until it's too late. I'm sure they will find a solution.

Also do not forget that this game exists thanks to all of the patrons so I am sure BLits team is very very grateful for your patronage. Do note though that the part of your donation that exceeds the game price doesn't mean you paid more for the game, but you appreciated the project and wanted to support it. There are people who paid more, people who paid less and all are living the same current situation. Nobody is being treated like a "second class citizen", whatever that means. We should in fact all be encouraging and trying to help them, instead of complaining how there is wrongdoing or bad business or whatsoever. Dropbox offers no way of increasing BandWidth assuming they are using the pro plan. The restriction can't be bypassed by creating another link either. Another account would be needed. Please allow for one more day or until the BLits team finds another hosting solution. They already have many issues to solve and I don't think they anticipated all of the problems that the hype might cause.

I was one of the very early backers of this Patreon, having backed every single month that it's been open. You would think that that would give me some kind of priority to download the game, but I didn't receive the Dropbox link until it had already gone down. Very, very disappointing. This is just proof that Dropbox isn't a proper release channel for something like this. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.

The Dropbox Help says the limit is "about 200 GB per day for the total amount of traffic that all of your links and file requests combined can generate". If the game is 11 GB that means not many people could download per day before the limit was reached. Wasn't there like 900 + people qualified for the free copy via Dropbox? I didn't even get chance to use the link. :(

Please also take note that the downloaded zip file is 11.0gb, and the unpacked version is 15.7gb. If your downloaded zip has issues opening, either it is too big for your file extractor (on windows10 you can use native zip tools) or it might be an incomplete download (in this case check the filesize, if not 11gb then it's incomplete).

For all of you wondering if it's normal to still get the "unauthorized, 401" message. The BLits team is currently working on resolving this issue and has not yet posted an update. Some people have had success in downloading the game by constantly spamming the three links, but this solution may or may not work, do not rely on it. If it doesn't work (or if you get bored spamming the links) please wait until an update from the BLits team. There is no point in spamming your error messages in this post, as they tell of nothing new, and will make it harder to find users having other, less common issues.

Run a speedtedt (speedtest.net) and make sure your download units are set to Mbps. Then compare with your download speed. If they have a difference of around 2 mbps it's your connection speed. If it's way more, as in download in kbps and speedtest shows 20Mbps then it's server-side

So I haven't checked all the comments if this has been mentioned already but anyhow. There seems to be an issue with the MAC version for me. Keitaro's voice is normal, however the other voices are on very low volume. It's not really an option to increase the volume because then the others will be normal, but Keitaro will basically be shouting. It's especially odd since the parts that aren't fully voiced are working just as expected. Edit: I only checked the introduction scenes of Hiro and Natsumi, both of them had the same issue. I could check others but I'd rather play the game with all of the voices on normal volume.

That won't happen. The DL link will "expire" on 13.12.'18 at the earliest, if at all. I bought "Coming out on top" on BMTMicro as well and we all used the same download link for multiple updates, so it never really expired. You got the receipt, so you are entitled to the game. Don't you worry.

Consider relaunching the download in a separate instance. That way you will keep the original download in case it resumes, but also gain time in case the download does indeed fail.

Please do not stress so much over the error code. Things like this may happen. Please also do not flood their inbox with angry emails or all using the same error code because that will just make it more complicated to sort out useful error reporting. The error code is most likely due to a private default configuration of the upload site, something that was overlooked with all the stress and lack of sleep. You will get your game before long, grab a snack and litsen to jazz or something.

For Error: "code": "unauthorized" Keep clicking on the download links provided, if not there should have been an email sent to you upon buying the game. There you will find a site to go to and manually put in the Product ID and Password to try and download it that way. I just kept clicking on one of the three links and it worked.

This is sort of disappointing. Buying the game then encountering an error. Guess I will try again tomorrow. Wouldn't be the first time a game launch flopped.

Huge issue, i downloaded the game and paid $70 and even checked my bank for the deduction and it went through, but guess what, all the download links showed me an error, and they havent even replied to my emails, kinda losing my shit RN

I wish they provided it as a torrent or other way of download. 11GB for me is going to take 13 hours... So I basically waited, only to wait even longer. lol
