(I’m asking again: how can this woman keep getting more attractive?!) -- The way I cackled when I read that! 😂 Yeah things are really heating up, just wait for the next ep :)

I knew it, I knew it was a screen and not a window! (What will those who were in the cafeteria think now? 👀). I wasn’t expecting the sheriff deputy with the mayor, but I wasn’t surprised either. (What did surprise me was the end of the episode—why did that woman have to die when I liked her so much? TwT Clearly something was done to her, or she was forced to do something. We know they control birth rates by implanting contraceptive devices, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they implanted something in everyone’s bodies from birth. If someone causes trouble, they activate the device and either kill them with it or control them through it to make them commit suicide. That would make sense, after all, George’s supposed cause of death was suicide. Now we have two characters who mysteriously lost their partners, and who might share the same motivation to work together to solve the mystery.) Juliette is the woman with the biggest ovaries in that silo. What a queen! And how good she looks in that sheriff uniform! 7w7 (I’m asking again: how can this woman keep getting more attractive?!) By the way, I admit I shed a tear during that hug between Juliette and Martha. :'V

Not surprisingly, you called it right about Jules getting the badge and the image reset on the window! I thought I saw something but it was so fast, glad you noticed. That was a horrible ending…something not right at all, why was she bleeding from the mouth? Sorry, I know it was a bit gross…look at your face! 😂 Yes, a Jules+Helly team would rock!

Yeah when editing I realised if theyve never opened it up, they'd have no idea what the blades even looked like. I do overlook how primitive they are, to a degree. Bernhard is a very curious character and yes the screen bit was so odd haha

Claudie

What an episode! I couldnt sit still during the whole generator repair, i was so on edge the whole time! Bernard is very mysterious isnt he, seems to have quite a lot of influence for just being the head of IT. Very suspicious... On your question about the blades, i guess because the generator was never shut down before they didnt know what they even looked like. Its hard to build something youve never seen before. And she picked cooper because hes her shadow, i think thats something like an apprentice. Juliette probably thought if he can do this, he will be able to take over her job easily. And i completely missed the monitor showing the outside for a second :O

In the book, the main drama about the generator shutdown comes from the power struggle between Mayor Jahns and Bernard of IT. The maintenance involves realignments, not blade repair The generator is down for days, not hours, and there's a brownout, not a blackout. No steam problem.

Bruce

My thinking is the steam has a geothermal source but this idea is shot down in many posts online. Here’s is a summary of everything technically inconsistent with the Generator. Regardless, the episode was exciting and good TV drama! https://youtu.be/qF_9-jY7UY8?si=nFJTB9kPbQMCDYwU

Gary Brown

Yep that was my thinking too, I think there's alot more to her

Claudie

I loved this episode! I also noticed that there were no pictures of people. The lady with the radio-toaster intrigues me. She mentions knowing jules mum and she knows the mayor too, I wonder how if she never leaves mechanical.

Emily

This wasn’t a bad episode but everything about the generator annoyed me. There should of course have been a way to safely relieve pressure, easily enough done by directing the steam around the generator. Nobody would design such a machine without including a way to shut it down for repairs. And the generator shouldn’t work with the casing removed from the turbine; the steam should have just escaped into the room around it. They probably couldn’t make a replacement blade beforehand because they’ve never seen one up close, or at least not the connector, as the generator was never shut down before. But what they could have done is remove the damaged blade as well as one opposite to it to keep everything balanced, start the generator again, and then repair the blade with as much time as they needed, before stopping the generator a second time to put the blades back in. And I’m also pissed if we lose the mayor. I liked her a lot.

Just glad to be here this early.
