Why Violence is Bad
by Hunter
Violence is bad because if you do it then people will do it back to you and it just keeps going like that forever. In order to stop violence there needs to be no more violence: people need to be kind to each other. But, if the violence has already happened, then someone has to be the bigger person and respond to the violence with kindness.
I must learn to be this bigger person.
To learn about kindness and non-violence, I needed to read a book about kindness and non-violence. The book I chose was Blaspheme Auditor, Vol. 6. That book taught me that forgiveness is better than violence, like when Auditor Black let Hanzar live even after he used the Twelfth Forbidden Prayer on him. This pays off later in the Unholy Rest arc (Vol. 12-17) when Hanzar comes back to help the Auditors defeat the Sacrilegion.
Also, to learn about kindness and non-violence, I needed to ask an authority figure or parent on how to be kind and non-violent. I decided to ask my mother this question. When asked this question, my mother responded to my question by saying “Look, the kid was being a jerk, so I’ll let it slide. I met his mom at the PTA meeting last month and she said I had an “uncouth aura” so that whole family can eat dirt. Wait, is this for the essay thing? Don’t put that in. Write down that I said niceness is strength or something.”
In conclusion, the next time someone hits me and steals my lunch, I will smile at them and not cause a commotion during the only time the teachers can have some peace and quiet. I am sorry for everything my violence has caused.
Violence is really, really, really, really, really, bad.
