Hey everyone!

Just wanted to check in as I'm deep into writing content for Book 2. It's been quite the journey, and I'm actively trying to avoid some of the mistakes I made in Book 1 while making sure I don't lose sight of what made me start this story in the first place.

One thing I've learned about writing for hours on end on a single story is how easy it is to forget your original goals. You can easily fall into writer's block or, worse, complete burnout. Thankfully, I've been doing a pretty good job avoiding the latter so far! The current pace feels perfect for me, and I plan to maintain it as long as it continues working well.

That said, sometimes I need to cleanse my palate - just change the air a bit, you know? So I've been jotting down some ideas here and there on the side, assembling them bit by bit. Before I knew it, I had a rough new story that I often turn to when I get blocked on Re:Birth. It helps me shift perspective and come back to our main story with fresh eyes.

This side project has been surprisingly fun to write, and I thought I'd share a little something with you. It's a story in its very early stages that I work on from time to time. I'm thinking I'll post updates once a week or less (no schedule guaranteed) since it's really more of a palate cleanser for me and a way to add more value for you awesome patrons.

So without further ado, I'd like to introduce: The Gamble King

Basically, the story follows a guy named Max who reads a webnovel online for years, and then suddenly gets transported into that story's world—but as a minor villain who was supposed to die in book 2. His goal is to survive that fated death event and find a way back home. The twist is that it's also a time loop scenario.

Yeah, I know, said like that it doesn't sound very catchy! But maybe give it a try? I've cleaned up the rough draft I had, and you can read it right away while waiting for the next Re:Birth chapters.

I'm literally writing this as I go, whenever I'm feeling blocked or need a break from Re:Birth. So far, I've written two chapters, which I'll post here on Patreon. Who knows? Maybe in a year or so, it might grow into a full story!

First chapter is about 12k words, and second is about 6k words.

This is very much in the baby stages, so your feedback and even suggestions are more than welcome. I don't have a solid direction for this yet, just a rough idea that I'm exploring. Consider yourselves the early architects helping me build this new world!
