Aurora's next original scene, a preview.
Added 2024-03-26 15:18:16 +0000 UTCI give you a short preview of the next Aurora scene, Aurora: Elysium Nightclub.
I personally imported the nightclub asset into VaM, which is the first time I've ever done anything like that. It wasn't nearly as confusing as I was expecting it to be. All of the lighting, the tv's on the wall, etc, I setup myself. There will be music playing in the background, as per usual for Aurora, and the lights will react to it.
I will state that the final product may look a little different to this preview, probably not as populated and busy. The low frame rate is not necessarily a result of it being a GIF, with all the visual effects (which I've also done my absolute best to optimize) and the crowd in the background - it all wrecks performance. I will definitely include performance options like taking some of the unimportant lights out, options of reducing the crowd from fully populated all the way to no crowd at all, etc. But currently, the way things are going I definitely need to cut back on some of it.
There probably won't be another preview of the nightclub until closer to release, this scene may take me a bit longer to create than Hanging Out did in total. I have more complicated and convoluted things planned for this one.
