CompoPack Alternative Progress!
Added 2022-09-05 06:46:42 +0000 UTCSince insomnia is kicking the crap out of me today, I figured I'd put it to use and get some stuff done.
So the alternative to CompoPack that I have been working on has finally gone out to testers as a beta release! Everything is sized to fit into standard A20 random world gen. No custom tiles like the CompoPack team are doing or anything like that.
It just slots right in!
That was a lot of work, but hopefully it will be worth it. :) Our plan now, is to test this new pack against vanilla to make sure sleepers and such work. Once that's done, then we'll look at loot and zombie amounts.
And THEN it'll be released as standalone and slotted into DF as the CompoPack replacement.

2022-09-06 21:57:39 +0000 UTCYou could have something like that be wilderness only. What sucks is we can't limit AMOUNTS of POI's anymore. Like in A19, we could say "Hey, spawn at least one of these and up to X" or "ONLY spawn one of these." Not anymore.
2022-09-05 10:16:55 +0000 UTCI could see maybe like 1 big multi-plot structure, but only if it's like in the desert and only spawns like 1 in a 1,000,000. (Like a wrecked horde base for example) or a bedieged castle lol) If that's possible, but otherwise def get vanilla plot sizes
