Behind The Scenes for "Gravity Fails" video :)

Long ago (2014 year) I was on the kitchen. I was washing the dishes, and suddenly a voice line popped in my head:
- Gravity! Who gives a crap about gravity?
- Me!

I laughed so hard, because someone will actually gives a crap about gravity.
And I imagined two Scouts standing on the wall and the rooftop. That was the easier time for me to actually start animating, so I started working on the same day!

I made this little simple picture to show my brother the first scene of the video:

You already know the result:

The idea was the same, but I didn't have a clue what to do next! I was thinking that maybe red scout will say "Look at me, Mom", but his mom will be in the skies as a ghost (I used this idea later in "Where is Scout's Mom?" video). Or maybe I will use some "Corn Cake" joke, but Scout will call Engineer.

Right now, while I'm making this post, I'm watching the Message history to my brother, and I'm very surprised, that I improvised that much! For the last few years I was always trying to find the best joke. It's also sad, that some of the jokes I used in the past feels less fun for me today. Maybe I need to use my older videos as the source for inspiration, and see what will happen!

I need somehow to combine my old videos with my current styles of animation (same thought again?)

- This map ain't big enough for the two of us!

After this part I decided, that at the end character must somehow teleport to Japan!
One of the ideas was, that someone will fly through the Earth on the other side of the planet. I had lot of different unused jokes, so I combined them all into one big scenario!

Right now I often need to come up with new jokes all the time when I'm trying to improvise. I think it's because of luck of communication with people I can speak about Gmod and have fun. All my current friends are either serious as hell, depressed, or just don't know anything about Gmod.

At first he was blue:

You maybe noticed this green heart inside of his chest. I added this as a weak point for this Immortal character! But I was thinking, that maybe I will return him someday in one of the next videos. I thought that maybe someone will defeat this Soldier!

Spy's magical abilities were created when I designed him:

Random screenshots:

I changed the Sniper's design because I wanted a character with mouth:

Lookin' good:

Creepy stuff from the Japan map:

Yep, this Scout's face was used in "Island" video!

Also this picture:

I have no clue what was that, but I like it! :D

BTW: That was the first video I used "Stop Motion Helper" addon, which helped me to animate the Fight scene!

And the last picture!
This Scout was created in Summer of 2013:

About me and my next video:
I spent those two weeks playing "NieR:Replicant ver1.22". I thought this game wouldn't be that big! I also watched new "Spiderverse 2" movie, which I also enjoyed. I think I can call it rest!
The next video will be also a "YouTube Shorts"! I need to choose one of the ideas and start working! Shorts are really helping me to keep the views high! Anyway it feels like I need to rest a bit more 😴

I think you're right. And also, I see people are always happy to see some old characters in my videos. I think I'd better make my "universe" deeper instead of bigger. I'm still thinking about "Spidertale Demoverse" sequel, and I already know how to start. But still, I'll try to add one unreleased character from the first Spidertale! I always wanted to add him.

Eltorro! I understand your dilemma. Creativity can come so easily, and without end, but the well dries up. I think right now you are chasing what is funny but I know that is exhausting. Here is what I think. You have already created so much, so many random characters with unique appearances, personalities, and motivations, you could fill a whole world with them, and that's what you can do. You built the toys, now you can play with them. I think a good first step is to build a profile of your favorite characters. Give them a name, create a folder, and store screenshots of them from your videos. Maybe also give each one a text file where you can note which videos they were in and what they did. Once you have a sort of roster of characters, you might see patterns for which ones have unfinished business, which ones were looking for a fight, for adventure, and especially, what happens when they meet other characters. For example, that creepy engineer with no goggles from TV. I've been hoping he would make a return. He's up to something, and since he defeated the soldier and that other engineer, who could be his next target? Whatever you do, you are already a legend of TF2 memes.
