I’ll admit this chapter was a bit slow. Him receiving some more erotic play under the table at lunch or a fantasy about Charlottes while day dreaming at work or an erotic dream that leads to waking up with Deanne would have balanced the erotic with the narrative need to feel out his friends. I mean when Rosie asked for his shower participation he shouldn’t have treated it like lawn cutting duty. Maybe he should have reluctantly and awkwardly gone along with it.
